The struggle to clean
I went to bed Friday night telling myself that I WILL get my house clean by the end of the weekend. I wish I could be one of those people that could clean during the week and avoid the horrible Saturday day cleaning experience, but I'm not. I woke up about 9:00 on Saturday morning very energized and ready to go! Robbie and I have both struggled to keep up with the house work. If it weren't for my wonderful husband the house would have been declared a disaster zone. The flashes of a clean house and all my hard work came to an abrupt holt about an hour into it. I was exhausted. As I looked around at the piles of laundry that needed to be folded, the dirty floors, the undusted furniture and icky bathrooms... I forged on. I finally finished up about 1:00 p.m. Never making it into our bedroom or bathroom. I took a shower and laid down for "just a minute". At 3:30 I woke up, hair still wrapped in a towel and realized I had slept for over 2 hours.Today was no different. Woke up early for church and we returned home about 10:00. I rushed into the kitchen to eat something, as if I hadn't eaten in days. I turned on the TV to which nothing was on and thought I can a) finish cleaning the bedroom and bathroom, b) take a nap. You can guess which one won out...3 hours later and I'm now ready to start my day. My 2nd trimester energy has not kicked in just yet, I can't wait until it does. This house will be spotless..ready and waiting for Baby Bizzell's arrival.

Time Travel IS REAL!
Today marked the beginning of week 19... or so I thought? Went in for my monthly doc visit and she asked me about my next u/s appointment. I told her it was scheduled for next Tuesday the 27th, right at 20 weeks. She looks at me very strangely and says, "You are 20 weeks today." I look at her with a blank stare and say in return, "I am 19 weeks, my due date is June 16th." "No Sarah, your due date is June 9th." Confused... I look down on my chart she is holding and see the numbers - 6/9/09 written in BIG BOLD LETTERS on the top of my chart and on today's date the words '20 weeks' next to it. I asked her if she had the right chart and as she is flipping through to verify the information on my due date I am thinking to myself... Did I miss an appointment? I was at the first appointment that she gave us the due date, right? As I am playing this out in my head I was also hoping she just might let me change my u/s appointment to this week. No luck! Pregnancy brain at its best!!!!! :) Time travel is REAL... I just skipped a whole week of my pregnancy!!!

18 Weeks!
This week marked the beginning of the 5th month! Our baby is about 5 1/2 inches long and weighs about 5 ounces (they compare it to the weight of a chicken breast). He or she is perfecting yawning, hiccuping, and has a complete set of fingerprints on his or her fingertips and toes. I have had alot of activity in my belly this week. One night I was lying on my back and watched my stomach go up & down almost like it had a heart beat of its own...maybe the baby had the hiccups?! We are just a little over a week away before we find out if we are having a boy or a girl. Nevertheless, I got a jump start on choosing fabric for the nursery. I had another enjoyable 'charlie horse' in my leg one night - man OH man those things are painful. I would've taken a charlie horse over what came next...the FLU! Running about a 101 fever, nausea, coughing, body aches and headaches for 2 days. Luckily I am feeling much better and have MLK day off to recover from a very long weekend. The baby has been moving around alot the past few days and my stomach has been making lots and lots of weird, but funny noises. Busy little "B".

17 weeks!
This has been an interesting week in my pregnancy. It started off last week with wearing socks that were too tight for my feet and caused my ankles to swell. I went to get a pedicure and had to listen to the lady fuss at me "Oh, you socks too tight." She then proceeded to let me know what her opinion was on the sex of the baby. "Look like girl, you wide." I guess if you have to hear something like that, you ONLY want to hear it when you are pregnant?
I woke up two nights in a row with a 'charlie horse' in my legs. The first night I think I scared Robbie to death shouting "Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!". The next night he slept right through it... not a good sign.
The following night for dinner we had steaks and baked potato. Now I have never really been a red meat eater, but made my first attempt to eat steak while pregnant. Wasn't the best choice I guess because dinner was interrupted by nausea and.... you can guess what came next. Doesn't bother me any that the baby doesn't like it! I am still craving every sweet piece of candy, cake or ice cream I can get my hands on.
