30 weeks!

It is hard to believe we are already at our 30 week mark! I am seeing the doctor every 2 weeks now. Our last visit to the doctor on Tuesday went great. We are on schedule...the doctor reminded me it is time to start packing my hospital bag, pre-registering for delivery, choosing a pediatrician and lots more on the "to do list." I can't believe how close we are getting! I am so anxious to meet my little girl.
I am still getting very little sleep at night. Partly because I have to get up to use the restroom every hour it seems. I think her little head is sitting right on top of my bladder and I'm sure the bigger she gets the less likely it will go away anytime soon :) So far I have been able to keep up at work with my 22 munchkins. They keep me thoroughly entertained and on my feet. 2 weeks from today we will go to have our 4D ultrasound and next appointment. I can't wait to see little Ella's sweet face.

Baby Shower!

I had my first baby shower in Virginia this past Sunday...Thanks to my wonderful mom and sister. Everything was absolutely perfect! The food, the decorations and all the time they put into making everything so great!

27 weeks!

Ella and I are doing great! We went to the doctor yesterday and everything was perfect. She had a strong heart beat and my belly is definetely getting bigger! The doctor gave me the "heads up" that I am 10 weeks from full term, so I need to start getting prepared and getting lots of rest.... I WISH. I don't think I have slept through the night since before Christmas. My body is most definetely getting ready for her arrival and many more sleepless nights.
We had the furniture delivered 2 weeks ago and I have been working trying to get it all set up. My mother-in-law has been working very hard as well on the bedding... she has done a wonderful job!! It is gorgeous!

25 weeks!

Ella Grace has been very active this week. We had a busy day yesterday watching your Daddy run a 10K race in the windy cold weather. The horrible loud noise you were hearing last night was a live band at the Houston Rodeo cook off...I apologize if you are now deaf. I must say little girl you almost had me in tears yesterday at the Rodeo Race because you have been sitting right on my bladder for a few days now and I just couldn't hold it anymore. I had to.... brace yourself, use a port-a-potty (ewwww!!!!) The utter thought of touching the door to one of those makes my stomach turn, much less getting into one! This week was a rough week trying to sleep. I woke up with major heartburn a few nights, have had several charlie horses, and very restless. I guess this is your way of getting me prepared for your arrival!!

24 weeks!

Ella and I are both doing great (Robbie too!) Went to my doctor's appointment on Tuesday and the doctor said everything looked really good from the u/s we had last month. She has been kicking/punching/hiccuping away in my belly and I finally got to see it for the first time this week. She was making some pretty good motions to the right of my belly button the other night, even Robbie got to see it! It has been a busy week in our house. We got the room painted and just had the carpets cleaned. Just in time too...the furniture is ready to be delivered!

Let the painting begin...

OH the paint! Overall this has been the hardest decision to make thus far. I finally picked a color - totally opposite- of what I originally had in mind. Robbie was so excited that I finally picked a color, he even offered to paint!! We both came home several nights this week and painted until we got it finished. It looks great! Annie even did her part and stayed out of the paint and out of trouble! What a good doggie :)

Top 5 must haves!

So this week I have realized there a few things I absolutely can't get enough of. Some of which I never liked or ate AT ALL before I was pregnant...I guess it is just one of the many mysterious joys of pregnancy.

#1 - Fruit - I can't get enough - especially grapefruit
#2 - Waffles (hold the syrup) I want powdered sugar!
#3 - Ice Cream & Sweets
#4 - Cranberry Juice w/ ginger ale
#5 - Rice Chex Cereal

I know these aren't unusual disgusting things that you hear most pregnant women eat. Maybe that'll come later on. I hated grapefruit and cranberry juice before I was pregnant...love it now! For those of you who know I DO NOT eat vegetables I have also branched out and eaten a few carrots and steamed brocolli...and I didn't gag people!!!

21 weeks!

You have been moving around so much! Usually the early mornings and late nights you are kicking away! Your daddy felt you move for the first time on Friday night. It was such a cool experience for him to know you were really in there! My belly is also getting alot bigger and you are definetely growing. At our u/s last week they said you were 12 ounces!
The first graders are so excited about your arrival! They ask me questions about you everyday...and some hug you goodbye in the afternoon. One hug for me and a little baby hug on my belly for you as they say, "Bye Bye Baby."
Things are getting very exciting around here as we plan for your arrival. We can't wait until you are here!
